A strong earthquake struck the state of Nevada in the United States. According to the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 5.7. The epicenter was located approximately 20 kilometers east-southeast of Silver Springs in Nevada. The tremors occurred at a depth of around 9 to 10 kilometers below the Earth’s surface. Due to the shallow depth, the impact of the earthquake was felt more intensely. The incident caused panic among residents, who rushed out of their homes in fear.
The effects of the quake were also felt in the city of Reno, where several buildings reportedly experienced mild shaking. However, no official reports of casualties or property damage have been released so far. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and gathering further information. Nevada is known as one of the most seismically active regions in the United States and due to tectonic movements in the area, earthquakes of low to moderate intensity occur frequently.
