The cold wave in Telangana is intensifying. Temperatures in Kumuram Bheem, Asifabad, and Adilabad districts have dropped to 3°C, while urban areas are recording average temperatures between 7°C and 13°C. The Meteorological Department has warned that the cold may increase over the next two days. Dry and cold winds from North India are causing fog, creating difficulties for motorists.
Due to the cold, people’s immunity is weakening, leading to a rise in flu, cough, and asthma cases. Children and the elderly are particularly vulnerable, with risks of hypothermia due to rapidly falling body temperatures. Authorities advise wearing warm clothing, mufflers, and gloves when going outside. Consuming hot food, immunity-boosting ingredients, and using moisturizers or coconut oil on the skin are recommended to cope with the harsh cold suggested by the doctors.
