The Air Traffic Control (ATC) has revealed that it had identified and warned about the major technical issue that occurred at Delhi Airport two days ago.
ATC stated that, following the Ahmedabad incident, it had written a letter to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) urging them to upgrade air navigation systems to meet international safety standards.
However, their recommendations were reportedly ignored.
As a result, the ATC system collapsed at Delhi and Mumbai airports, severely disrupting over 800 flights.
