An unusual incident unfolded at the residence of well-known Telugu film director Maruthi on Saturday, creating confusion and curiosity. Hundreds of food delivery orders were suddenly placed to his home in Kondapur, Hyderabad, resulting in a large crowd of delivery personnel from various platforms gathering at the gate.
From Saturday afternoon onwards, multiple delivery vehicles kept arriving at the same address. Along with food items, some medical-related products were also reportedly ordered. Since all the orders were placed under the cash-on-delivery option, delivery staff approached the security personnel for payment, which revealed that the orders were not placed by the director or his family.
Social media users speculate that the incident may be linked to fans of actor Prabhas. According to online discussions, a section of fans is reportedly unhappy with the progress and talk surrounding the upcoming film Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi and starring Prabhas. It is being speculated that this act was intended as a form of protest, though there is no official confirmation.
Responding to the incident, Maruthi clarified on social media that he had no connection with the orders and urged delivery platforms to take strict measures against fake bookings. He expressed concern over the inconvenience caused to delivery personnel and the losses incurred by the companies due to such misuse.
