The Adani Group, which already operates multiple airports across India, is preparing to expand into the aviation training sector. As part of its broader plans to strengthen its presence in aerospace and defense, the group is reportedly holding preliminary discussions to acquire the Flight Simulation Technique Centre (FSTC). The move is aimed at addressing the rising demand for professionally trained cockpit crew.
With the growing need for pilots, the company is also considering the formation of a joint venture dedicated to aviation training. The Adani Group has already acquired Air Works, a leading aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) service provider.
Industry forecasts suggest that India will require around 20,000 new pilots over the next decade, while the Asia-Pacific region may need nearly 98,000. Since simulator-based training is mandatory for pilots, the Adani Group sees strong long-term potential in this sector.
