8 Arrested in Fake Notes Case

Hyderabad’s Mehdipatnam Police and Task Force teams conducted a joint raid and arrested 8 members of a fake currency manufacturing gang. The police seized ₹4.75 lakh worth of counterfeit ₹500 notes from them. The main accused, Kasturi Ramesh Babu, was found producing fake notes in Tandur using a scanner and Photoshop. Investigations revealed that he circulated the notes through Instagram at a 1:4 ratio in the market.
