

On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, TGSRTC has announced the operation of 2,243 special buses to 43 Shaivite temples across the state to ensure smooth travel for devotees. With Maha Shivaratri falling on the 15th of this month, the special services will run from the 14th to the 16th. A total of 781 buses have been allocated to Srisailam, 416 to Vemulawada, 249 to Edupayala, 326 to Keesaragutta, 127 to Vemulawada (Velala), and 71 to Kaleshwaram, along with 273 services to other prominent temples.
Special buses to Srisailam will operate from major points in Hyderabad, including MGBS, JBS, CBS, IS Sadan, KPHB, and BHEL. The corporation is arranging facilities such as shamianas, chairs, drinking water, and public address systems for passengers. Ticket fares for special services have been revised up to 1.5 times as per the state government’s GO, while regular service fares remain unchanged.
TGSRTC Vice Chairman and Managing Director Y. Nagi Reddy, IPS, reviewed the Shivaratri arrangements and directed officials to ensure hassle-free travel. The corporation is operating 208 more buses compared to last year. Free bus travel for women will continue as per government policy.
