Inspired by the life of Neem Karoli Baba, ‘Hanuman Ansh’ is making an unexpected impact at the box office. Made on a reported budget of just ₹2 crore, the film has grossed ₹291.40 crore worldwide in 40 days, according to the makers. Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and starring Shobinav Satya in the lead role, the film explores themes of faith, love, service and devotion. Ragini Sona, Namrata G. Singh and 21-year-old Anupriya Nagar served as producers. Anupriya said each of them invested around ₹60 lakh and clarified that she joined the project during post-production after the shooting had been completed.
Director Vishal Chaturvedi confirmed that Anupriya supported the team financially during post-production, while denying reports that she wrote the story or curated the film. Producer Ragini Sona revealed that three OTT platforms have approached the team for the streaming rights following the film’s theatrical performance. She said the movie was made primarily for the big screen rather than for an OTT release. The director also revealed that the team completed the shoot in 22 days instead of the planned 26 days to control costs. The Telugu release has been postponed, with a new release date expected to be announced soon.
