Tollywood actress Chandini Chowdary’s comments on harassment faced by women in the film industry have sparked discussions. During an event, she shared a difficult experience from the early days of her career. Chandini claimed that in 2015, during the shooting of Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam, a person approached her promising a brand ambassador opportunity for a reputed jewellery brand. She alleged that after initially speaking in front of her mother, the person later made inappropriate remarks over a phone call and pressured her unfairly. She said she rejected the demand and warned that she would approach the police if such behavior continued.

Chandini revealed that the person later allegedly spread negative publicity about her in the industry, affecting her image and career opportunities. She said that when she encountered the same person again in 2024 during a film promotion, she confronted him about the past incident. Chandini stated that such experiences made her stronger and taught her to stand up for herself, adding that she believes success should come through hard work and honesty rather than unfair means.
