Priyanka Chopra on Hunkar: The Roar.. I Consider It My Good Fortune to Be Part of This Journey

JioHotstar’s Hunkar: The Roar is an upcoming web series that explores a gripping story around police investigation, courtroom proceedings and the media. Anit Padda, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Arjun Mathur, Raghubir Yadav and Ram Kapoor play key roles in the series. Directed by Nitya Mehra, Karan D Kapadia and Heeraz Marfatia, the show is jointly produced by Birla Studios and Applause Entertainment, with global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas serving as executive producer. The series is set to premiere on JioHotstar on September 25, 2026.

At the trailer launch, Priyanka Chopra spoke about her association with the series and said that as a producer, she always wants to stand behind stories that offer a meaningful message to society. She described Hunkar: The Roar as one such powerful story and expressed confidence in directors Nitya Mehra and Karan D Kapadia. Priyanka said her production house Purple Pebble Pictures aims to encourage filmmakers with clear ideas and unique visions by giving them creative freedom. She added that she feels proud and fortunate to be part of the project and believes the story, which deeply moved her, will leave a lasting impact on audiences as well.
