Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s emotional sports drama Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is nearing the end of its theatrical run after a successful performance at the box office. Released on June 4, the film received mixed reviews initially but went on to achieve impressive collections worldwide. Despite its strong run, trade analysts believe that the film may fall short of the much-anticipated ₹500 crore milestone, leaving some fans disappointed.
Peddi opened with a remarkable ₹135 crore gross on its first day and later entered the prestigious ₹400 crore club, becoming one of the biggest solo hits in Ram Charan’s career. The film is now heading toward the ₹450 crore mark. However, with its theatrical journey nearing completion, reports suggest that crossing ₹500 crore may not be possible. The film also became a major topic of discussion among fans, especially during comparisons with Jr NTR’s Devara, which crossed the ₹500 crore mark despite receiving mixed reviews.
