Manoj Bajpayee Opens Up on Film Choices.. Why He Prefers Small-Budget Movies!

Veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee has once again spoken candidly about the kind of films and roles he prefers in his career. He said that commercial movies often do not offer him enough new experiences as an actor, while small-budget films give him opportunities to explore stronger characters and meaningful stories. According to Bajpayee, these projects provide not just good roles and respect but also performances that can remain memorable throughout his career. He added that he might consider compromising on his choices if a project offered exceptionally high financial rewards and other major benefits, but otherwise he has little interest in big commercial films.

Bajpayee also made it clear that he does not enjoy taking up small roles in films dominated by major stars. He said he finds it difficult to work in an environment where the entire set waits for the lead star and the story revolves almost completely around one person. For him, a project should offer creative and professional value rather than simply being a large commercial production. Bajpayee explained that he constantly looks for something new and does not want to repeat the same routine work throughout his career. Even if a small film pays less, he said the satisfaction of completing meaningful work and returning home feeling fulfilled is more important to him.
