

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has officially announced Dharma Productions’ entry into the Malayalam film industry with the ambitious project ‘Odiyan: The Age of Illusion’. The film is being jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Prithviraj Productions and is inspired by 19th-century Kerala folklore and cultural legends. Sharing his excitement on social media, Karan Johar expressed pride in stepping into Malayalam cinema and highlighted the successful collaborations between Dharma Productions and Prithviraj Productions over the years.
The film will feature Malayalam stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Manju Warrier in pivotal roles. Karan Johar praised director Rahul Sadasivan for his unique ability to bring folklore and mystery-driven narratives to life on screen. According to reports, the story revolves around a mystical shape-shifting force that disrupts a powerful matriarchal family, leading to an intense battle between truth and illusion. The project is expected to begin filming soon and is already generating significant buzz among movie enthusiasts.
