Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, is making his directorial debut with Sigma, which is scheduled to hit theatres on October 2. A promotional event was recently held in Chennai, where Sanjay spoke about his journey and the memories associated with shooting the film. He said he was happy to begin the promotions from Salem and thanked the entire team for their support. When he mentioned that his family deserved his first thanks, fans in the gathering began chanting TVK slogans.
Sanjay responded to the enthusiastic chants with a smile and a thumbs-up gesture, drawing attention from those present. The moment comes amid reports and speculation about differences within the family after Sanjay was not seen at some recent public occasions. Speaking about Sigma, Sanjay said everyone experiences a “Sigma moment” at some point in life, particularly when certain decisions lead to difficult situations. He expressed confidence that the story of an ordinary person learning from challenges and emerging stronger would connect with audiences. He also revealed that he first shared his idea of becoming a director with his mother.
