I’m Not Trying to Look Younger - Madhavan

While many actors try to maintain a youthful appearance as they grow older, R. Madhavan says he has no desire to hide his age. In an interview, the actor said he embraces his grey hair and prefers to remain natural off screen. He revealed that he avoids colouring his hair unless a role demands it and credited Rajinikanth for inspiring this attitude. According to Madhavan, Rajinikanth does not worry about his off-screen appearance but creates magic on screen, while his friend Ajith Kumar follows a similar approach.

Madhavan also said that he is currently in a peaceful phase of his career and is not concerned about looking younger or competing with anyone in the industry. He considers improving himself as an actor to be his real competition and said he genuinely likes himself the way he is. Known for choosing diverse subjects, Madhavan recently appeared in the biopic of G.D. Naidu, popularly known as the Indian Edison. Directed by Krishnakumar Ramkumar, the film has received appreciation for Madhavan’s performance.
