In the film industry, once a hero attains star status, a title or tag behind his name becomes almost mandatory. Even if the hero isn’t fond of it, directors, producers, and fans insist on having one. Some heroes keep changing their titles to match their evolving image, while a few revert to their old ones when the new tag doesn’t quite fit.
Recently, Ram Charan dropped the “Global Star” tag and switched back to his iconic “Mega Power Star” title, mostly to please his fanbase.
Similarly, young hero Ram has now let go of the “Ustaad” tag he had been using for the past few years. In his upcoming film Andhra King Taluka, he will once again be seen as the “Energetic Star”. Speaking about this tag-changing trend, Ram opened up in a recent interview.Ram clearly stated that he personally doesn’t prefer having any title attached to his name.
During the early days of his career, however, producers and fans insisted that he must have a tag, so he agreed. They collectively chose a title for him, used it in film titles, and fans promoted it widely in posters and banners.
Later, Ram said he dropped that tag. Interestingly, another hero picked up the same title, and Ram chose to remain silent about it. When asked who that hero was, Ram simply smiled and avoided the question.
After that, fans started calling him the “Stylish Star”, but that title soon went to Allu Arjun. Ram then became the “Energetic Star”. A few years later, he switched to “Ustaad”, a tag that didn’t sit well with Pawan Kalyan fans and also didn’t really match Ram’s image. Which is probably why Ram has now returned to the more fitting “Energetic Star” title.
