‘Secret Soldier’ Gets a New Title After Censor Objections

Nihal Kodati and Surya Srinivas are playing the lead roles in the unique spy drama Secret Soldier, directed by Akki Viswanath Reddy. Produced under the Moon Light Dreams banner, the film also features Kamal Kamaraju, Raghu Babu, Rangasthalam Mahesh, Srinivas Vadlamani and Srikanth Iyengar in key roles. The teaser and trailer, packed with action, thrills and humour, have raised expectations, with the film scheduled to release on September 18. Ahead of the release, the lead actors interacted with the media and shared details about the project.

The actors revealed that the film was initially titled China Peace, under which the teaser and two songs were released and extensive marketing was carried out. However, after the film was submitted to the censor board, objections were raised at various levels, including review committees and the Ministry of External Affairs, with the title being cited as a key concern. The team subsequently chose Secret Soldier, which they felt better suited the story and its intent. The actors said director Viswanath worked extensively on the project without compromising on its content and that only minor cuts were suggested from a visual perspective. They added that the film offers realistic spy action and a fresh experience for audiences.
