Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar, who transitioned from a television news presenter to a successful actress, has carved a niche for herself in Tamil cinema through consistent performances. While she has earned recognition in Kollywood, her journey in Telugu cinema has not yielded the desired success so far. Her Telugu debut Kalyanam Kamaneeyam failed to make a significant impact, while subsequent projects such as Bheemaa and Zebra also did not perform well at the box office despite helping her gain visibility among Telugu audiences.

However, Tollywood continues to place its confidence in the actress. Priya Bhavani Shankar has now secured a prominent role in Irumudi, starring Ravi Teja and directed by Shiva Nirvana. She will reportedly be seen as Ravi Teja’s wife, playing the character Kaveri. The film is scheduled for release on August 21. The actress recently shared pictures from the sets after completing her portions. In addition, she is also set to reprise her role in the much-anticipated second season of Dootha, further strengthening her presence in the Telugu entertainment space.
