Bhumi Joins Pan-India Film

Bhumi Pednekar, known for her versatile performances in the Hindi film industry, is set to take on a powerful role in the upcoming pan-India film The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Directed by Sandeep Singh and starring Rishab Shetty in the lead, the film will showcase the life and legacy of the legendary Maratha ruler. The announcement was shared by the director on social media, confirming Bhumi’s inclusion in this prestigious project. Earlier this year, Bhumi impressed audiences with her portrayal of a police officer in the series Daldal.

Expressing her excitement, Bhumi stated that being part of a grand film based on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a great honor. She will be seen portraying Belawadi Mallamma, a brave warrior from Karnataka known for her courage and resistance against Shivaji’s forces. Calling it a unique and challenging role unlike her previous work, Bhumi highlighted the significance of the character. The film is currently in the pre-production stage, with shooting expected to begin later this year.
