

Director Prasanth Varma, who shot to nationwide fame with ‘Hanu-Man’, is expanding his Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) with ambitious new stories. Along with ‘Jai Hanuman’, he is also working on ‘Mahakali’, a unique project that aims to present female power in a strong superhero narrative inspired by Goddess Kali. Directed by Pooja Aparna Kollu and written by Prasanth Varma, the film is currently progressing at a brisk pace. The filmmaker has announced that the mass glimpse of ‘Mahakali’ will be released on August 24.
The makers have also unveiled a powerful look of Akshaye Khanna, who plays Shukracharya, the guru of the Asuras. Bhumi Shetty and Rohit Saraf are set to play key roles in the film, which blends mystery, spirituality and superhero elements. Produced by Riaz Ramesh Duggal under the RKD banner, the movie is planned for release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The latest update has generated significant curiosity among moviegoers.
