Take four large tomatoes, green chillies, garlic cloves, tamarind, salt, turmeric, oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds, dried red chillies, and curry leaves. Wash and chop the tomatoes, and set aside the green chillies.
Heat oil in a pan and fry dried red chillies until crisp, then set aside. Cook chopped tomatoes with salt and turmeric until soft and water evaporates. Soak tamarind in water and extract juice. Grind fried red chillies, green chillies, cooked tomatoes, garlic, tamarind juice, and salt into a coarse paste for best taste.
