Tamil Nadu Accelerates Hospital Licensing with Temporary Certification Policy

The Tamil Nadu government has taken a major decision to grant temporary approval to nearly 8,000 new private hospitals across the state. According to the Health Department, applicants can upload the required information online to receive provisional certificates instantly, significantly speeding up the approval process.

These hospitals will be allowed to begin operations under temporary authorization. A detailed inspection will be conducted later, and permanent certification will be issued only after ensuring full compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety standards.
