Nipah Virus Scare Returns to Kerala, Health Department on High Alert

Kerala is once again on alert following a fresh Nipah virus scare. A 40-year-old man from Feroke in Kozhikode district has tested positive for the virus in a preliminary screening, prompting health authorities to intensify surveillance and precautionary measures.

Officials said the patient's condition is currently stable. Samples have been sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune for confirmatory testing, and authorities are awaiting the final report. The Kerala Health Department has initiated necessary steps to prevent any potential spread of the infection.
