From being praised by Narendra Modi in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program to attracting investments from cricket legend MS Dhoni, this startup’s journey has been remarkable. It has now reached a stage where it even trains soldiers of India’s Para Special Forces. Founded by Rishabh Malhotra, the initiative was born out of personal tragedy. After suffering a severe bacterial infection that left 75% of his arm paralyzed, Malhotra defied medical expectations by consistently training with traditional tools like gada and mudgar, eventually regaining full strength. This recovery inspired him to revive ancient Indian fitness equipment for modern-day use.
Blending tradition with science, the startup integrates these tools with modern biomechanics. Unlike conventional gym equipment that targets isolated muscles, exercises with gada and mudgar engage the entire body, strengthening grip, core, spine, and joints simultaneously. Each session lasts about 60–70 minutes and includes physiotherapy support. The workouts have gained popularity not only among youth but also among individuals above 30, with even 74-year-olds actively participating. The startup aims to promote long-term health by incorporating elements of ancient Indian physical culture such as breath control, endurance, and discipline.
