Wamiqa Gabbi, who has been working in Bollywood for nearly a decade, is finally witnessing a significant rise in demand following the success of DC. Although she has earned recognition through television, OTT projects and web series, a major theatrical breakthrough had remained elusive. Her portrayal of Chandra in DC has now brought her wider attention, with her performance and screen presence receiving appreciation from audiences.
Following the film’s success, Wamiqa is reportedly receiving several offers from South Indian cinema, particularly Telugu films. She is said to be playing an important role in Prasanth Varma’s Jai Hanuman, which features Rishab Shetty and is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers under the presentation of T-Series. She is also part of Adivi Sesh’s G2, where she will reportedly portray a powerful character named Mahalakshmi. Her first look from the film has already received a positive response. In addition, she is working on Malayalam and Tamil projects, including Tiki Taka, Genie with Jayam Ravi and Irava Kaalam. The growing line-up marks an important turning point in Wamiqa’s career.
