The much-talked-about biopic on Bharat Ratna MS Subbulakshmi has once again grabbed attention in South Indian cinema circles. The project, reportedly being developed by director Gowtam Tinnanuri, has sparked discussions regarding the lead actress. Initially, Sai Pallavi's name was strongly linked to the role due to her natural acting style and ability to portray traditional characters with authenticity.

However, recent reports suggest that Rashmika Mandanna is now being considered for the iconic role. Industry sources claim that a special look test was recently conducted for Rashmika as part of the pre-production process. While actress Rukmini Vasanth was also rumored to be in contention earlier, Rashmika's name is currently leading the discussion. An official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.
