Expectations are soaring for Varanasi, directed by S.S. Rajamouli and starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran. With the film’s shooting reportedly nearing completion, it has already become a major talking point across the country. Amid the massive hype, reports suggest that its business calculations are also reaching unprecedented levels.

The Telugu States are said to be a major focus, with the film reportedly targeting business of more than ₹320 crore from the region alone. If true, the figure could put Varanasi in direct competition with the business records of major blockbusters such as RRR and Pushpa 2.
