The much-awaited RC 17, featuring global star Ram Charan and acclaimed director Sukumar, has been generating huge expectations among moviegoers. The duo previously delivered the blockbuster ‘Rangasthalam’, making their reunion one of the most anticipated projects in Telugu cinema. While reports suggest that the film’s shooting could begin around Dussehra, an interesting update regarding its music has now gone viral on social media. Rock star Devi Sri Prasad, who has been Sukumar’s regular musical collaborator from ‘Arya’ to ‘Pushpa 2’, is reportedly being replaced by ‘Dhurandhar’ fame Shashwat Sachdev for RC 17.
Sukumar and Devi Sri Prasad have delivered several chart-topping albums together over the years. However, reports suggest that DSP’s busy schedule, including ‘Ellamma’ and other projects, has made date adjustments difficult. At the same time, rumours have been circulating about differences between Devi Sri Prasad and production house Mythri Movie Makers since the ‘Pushpa’ days, with speculation that the issue continued until ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’. The absence of an official birthday wish from the RC 17 team to DSP recently has further fueled the speculation. However, the makers have not officially confirmed any change in the music department yet.
