A huge number of devotees visited the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Yadagirigutta on Sunday. With the holiday and the end of summer vacations, more than 92,000 devotees had darshan of the deity. Devotees said it took about one hour for special darshan and nearly three hours for free darshan. Temple queues and waiting halls remained crowded throughout the day, while parking areas on the hill and at the foothills were filled with vehicles.
The temple earned ₹73,75,642 through various sources of revenue. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy and Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender also offered prayers at the shrine. Meanwhile, Basara Gnana Saraswati Temple witnessed heavy footfall as parents brought their children for Aksharabhyasam ahead of the reopening of schools.
