The Telangana Government has launched WhatsApp-based school education services as part of its digital governance initiatives. The services were formally inaugurated by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at a programme held in Hyderabad. Through this platform, more than 1.8 million students and parents across the state will receive direct access to academic updates, examination information, hall tickets, mark sheets, bonafide certificates, transfer certificates, and other educational services.
Developed jointly by the MeeSeva division of the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department and the School Education Department, the platform aims to deliver transparent, accessible, and efficient services. Future updates will include student attendance, textbook and uniform distribution details, scholarship information, mid-day meal updates, and welfare programmes. The introduction of Telangana’s state bird, Paalapitta, as a digital mascot adds a unique touch to the initiative, making educational communication more engaging and citizen-friendly.
