

Polling for the second and final phase of the 2026 Assembly elections in West Bengal began at 7 AM across 142 constituencies, covering key districts such as North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, and Purba Bardhaman. The voting process started smoothly with mock polls conducted in the early hours, followed by long queues of enthusiastic voters at polling stations. Authorities reported steady turnout as citizens arrived early to exercise their democratic rights.
Over 3.2 crore voters are eligible to cast their ballots among more than 1,400 candidates in this crucial phase.
