

Amid El Nino conditions across the country, Minister Seethakka urged people to take responsibility for water conservation and transform it into a mass movement. She appealed to women’s self-help groups to take the lead in this initiative. She emphasized the need to capture every drop of rainwater and recharge groundwater resources through effective conservation measures. She called for making the Telangana Jalasiri programme successful with public participation.
The minister suggested that women’s groups in rural areas should conduct awareness programmes and actively participate in water conservation efforts. She highlighted the goal of constructing one recharge pit for every household, one farm pond for every agricultural field, and one water pond for every village. She urged people to use water responsibly and contribute to rainwater conservation.
