Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the long-pending dream of a world-class airport in Warangal is now taking shape. He stated that the land acquisition required for Mamnoor Airport has been completed and the land has been handed over to the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The Telangana government allocated ₹295 crore for the land acquisition process.
Reddy criticised the previous BRS government, stating that the airport project did not become a reality during its 10-year tenure. He said the project is now moving forward under the Congress government. According to the Chief Minister, Mamnoor Airport will create new opportunities for industry, tourism, education, employment and investment in the region. He also invited suggestions from the public on a name for the new Warangal airport.
