Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi accused the Central Government of damaging the country's education system, alleging that examination papers had leaked 152 times in the last ten years. He claimed that no one responsible for the leaks had been punished and said several students had taken their own lives due to the stress caused by repeated irregularities. Rahul also questioned the police action against students protesting over the issue and expressed solidarity with their movement.
Rahul Gandhi further alleged that employment opportunities for youth were shrinking while students' aspirations were being destroyed. He placed three key demands before the Centre: the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, action against those responsible for attacking protesting students, and a public apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to students.
