The Telangana government has announced that the distribution of new white ration cards will commence from August 15. Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy said that approximately 1.05 crore eligible beneficiaries across the state will receive the new ration cards as part of the government's welfare initiative.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will formally launch the distribution programme in Sangareddy on Independence Day. Simultaneously, the initiative will be rolled out across all 119 Assembly constituencies in Telangana. The minister assured that every eligible family in the state will be provided with a new white ration card, ensuring access to welfare benefits under the government's public distribution system.
