Report Claims Trump Confronted Hegseth Over Missile Stockpiles

According to a U.S. media report, President Donald Trump confronted Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during a meeting at Camp David over concerns about declining U.S. missile stockpiles amid the ongoing conflict with Iran. The report claimed Trump questioned why he had not been fully informed about shortages of critical weapons and expressed frustration over the military's ability to sustain large-scale operations. It also alleged that Hegseth attributed the communication gap to officials within the Defense Department.

The report further stated that Iran has been deploying large numbers of relatively inexpensive drones, while the United States has relied on costly interceptor missiles, including Patriot and THAAD systems, to defend its assets in the Gulf region, contributing to concerns over inventory levels. However, the White House strongly rejected the report, calling it "100% fake," while Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Trump retains full confidence in Hegseth.
