

A. Revanth Reddy will formally launch the Vanamahotsavam programme in Telangana today at Gurrranguda Eco Park. As part of the state’s ambitious green initiative, the Chief Minister will plant a Nagalinga sapling, while Forest and Environment Minister Konda Surekha will plant a Neredu sapling. The government has set a target of planting 16.06 crore saplings across the state this year to strengthen green cover and promote environmental sustainability.
To support the plantation drive, the state government has prepared saplings in 13,242 nurseries. During the event, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate development works worth ₹17.84 crore at Gurrranguda Eco Park. In addition, development projects worth ₹35.50 crore across Telangana will be launched virtually. The programme is expected to witness participation from public representatives, officials, environmental activists, and local communities.
