Telangana Government Prepares to Hold All-Party Meeting on El Niño Impact and Drought Conditions

The Telangana government will hold an all-party meeting on Wednesday to discuss the impact of El Niño, rainfall deficits and the possibility of drought conditions in the state. The meeting, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, is scheduled for 2:30 PM at Room No. 33 on the sixth floor of the Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat in Hyderabad. Discussions will focus on measures to reduce the impact of adverse weather conditions and inadequate rainfall on farmers and the public.

The government will seek suggestions from leaders of political parties on key issues, including drinking water supply, conservation of water resources, electricity supply for irrigation and plans for alternative crops. The meeting will also consider strategies to address drought conditions and identify precautionary measures that may be needed. The government is expected to seek cooperation from all political parties to help the state prepare for and respond effectively to potential drought-related challenges.
