The Special Investigation Team investigating the disappearance and death of Gade Sai Krishna in Vijayawada’s Krishnalanka police station limits has reportedly made serious findings. According to the SIT’s remand report, the investigation concluded that Sai Krishna died while in police custody and that the incident was allegedly followed by attempts to conceal the circumstances surrounding his death. The report also stated that his body was allegedly removed and evidence connected to the case was destroyed.
The SIT reportedly questioned multiple witnesses and examined scientific and technical evidence during the investigation. The report alleged that information about Sai Krishna’s death was not communicated to the magistrate and that CCTV-related data from the Krishnalanka police station was removed. The SIT also reportedly sent DVRs connected with the case for forensic examination. The findings have added further significance to the case, which has already led to criminal proceedings against then-Krishnalanka Circle Inspector Nagaraju and other police personnel.
