Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee and former Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has called for a complete overhaul of the administrative system of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. He stated that allegations of misuse of donations have exposed serious gaps in monitoring, accountability, and procedural implementation within the temple management.
He emphasized the need to restructure the system and entrust operations to experienced professionals, noting that nearly 1,500 people are involved in temple duties without a proper management framework. Meanwhile, allegations of financial irregularities involving several crores have led to the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) by the Uttar Pradesh government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty and dismissed attempts to malign the temple’s reputation.
