Transport Department officials conducted special inspections of school and college buses in Telangana after educational institutions reopened following the summer vacation. Ranga Reddy RTO teams carried out detailed checks at Langar Houz, focusing on vehicle fitness certificates, fire safety equipment, first aid boxes, and other mandatory safety requirements.
Motor Vehicle Inspectors also verified drivers' licenses and instructed educational institutions not to employ drivers above 60 years of age for operating student buses. Three inspection teams examined around 60 buses and issued challans to 6 vehicles for violating safety norms. Officials stated that student safety is the top priority and that inspections will continue for another week.
