The Telangana election authorities have further simplified the process for resolving notices issued to voters as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy said an adult family member of the concerned voter can now appear before the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) and submit the required documents and information on behalf of the family member. Officials have been directed to accept the documents and take necessary action to dispose of the notices.
The CEO directed District Election Officers to review the notices issued to voters and facilitate their resolution. He also instructed officials to mandatorily receive the prescribed declaration form for pending and future Form-6 applications, while considering October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date during the scrutiny, declaration and claims disposal process. Officials were directed to ensure that the electoral roll revision is carried out in accordance with the Election Commission of India’s rules.
