Hyderabad police conducted a special drive to curb drunk driving in the city. During the two-day operation, 129 people were detained for allegedly driving vehicles after consuming alcohol. Police registered cases against those found violating traffic rules and seized the vehicles involved in the violations.
The crackdown resulted in the detention of drivers of 101 bikes, 10 autos and 18 cars, along with other vehicles. Police said such special drives would continue to prevent road accidents and encourage motorists to follow traffic regulations and avoid driving under the influence of alcohol.
