Permanent Solution for Guntur Drains.. MLA Naseer Directs Officials

Guntur East MLA and Assembly Minorities Committee Chairman Naseer has instructed municipal and engineering officials to pay special attention to the cleaning and maintenance of major drains in the city. During a visit to Manipuram Cabin Road in the fourth ward, he inspected drainage problems after receiving complaints that encroachments were obstructing the flow of rainwater and causing it to overflow onto the road.

Officials were directed to remove the encroachments immediately and conduct a detailed survey of the drain. Naseer also called for proper desilting of major drains and streams in the Guntur East constituency. He asked officials to prepare estimates for desilting works in areas including Prakash Nagar, Ramireddytota and Vinoba Nagar, which could face waterlogging during heavy rainfall. He further directed authorities to take immediate steps to install streetlights and bulbs on Manipuram Cabin Road.
