Pawan Kalyan Orders Probe Into Tiger Death

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed concern over the death of a tiger in the Racharla Beat of the Giddalur Division under the Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve (NSTR). Calling the incident alarming, he said protecting tigers is essential for maintaining ecological balance and preserving the State’s rich biodiversity. He directed the NSTR Field Director to conduct a transparent and comprehensive investigation into the incident.

Pawan Kalyan instructed officials to examine whether the tiger died of natural causes or due to human intervention such as poaching or poisoning. He also ordered post-mortem and forensic examinations in accordance with wildlife conservation protocols. Stressing that such incidents must not recur, he directed the Forest Department to intensify patrolling and strengthen surveillance across forest areas. He warned that strict legal action would be taken if negligence or illegal activity is found during the investigation.
