Amid rising tensions in West Asia and the resulting global economic uncertainty, N. Chandrababu Naidu urged citizens to follow the eight-point agenda announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to overcome emerging challenges. Speaking at the foundation stone ceremony of the Bollineni Institute of Skill Education and Research (BISER) Medical College and Skill Development University in Amaravati’s Nidamarru, the Chief Minister said the state government would soon announce an action plan. He stated that the government sector would also adopt the “Work From Home” model in the future and emphasized the need for citizens to reduce unnecessary expenditure and act responsibly with a “My Nation, My Responsibility” mindset. Chandrababu noted that the ongoing US-Iran conflict had already begun affecting fuel and gas supplies, creating pressure on the economy.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of self-reliance, renewable energy, and fuel conservation. He advised people to reduce petrol and diesel consumption, adopt solar power generation at homes and farms, and utilise government subsidies for solar panel installations. Chandrababu also urged citizens to prefer domestic tourism over expensive foreign trips, highlighting destinations such as Araku Valley, Papikondalu, Gandikota, and Suryalanka Beach as world-class tourist attractions. Referring to gold imports, he called for increasing domestic gold production and revealed that a gold mine in Kurnool would begin operations next month, potentially contributing 50-60 percent of the country’s domestic gold output. He further appealed to public representatives to reduce oversized convoys and set an example in responsible governance during times of crisis.
