The southwest monsoon is expected to arrive late in Telangana this year, with weather officials indicating that rains may begin only after June 5. Earlier, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted that the monsoon would touch the southern parts of the country by May 25. However, changing weather conditions and delayed monsoon movement have reportedly altered the expected timeline.
According to weather experts, the delayed arrival of monsoon winds could impact seasonal rainfall patterns during the initial phase of the rainy season in Telangana. Farmers and residents across the state are closely monitoring the latest forecasts as temperatures continue to remain high in several districts. Officials are expected to issue updated rainfall and monsoon movement reports over the next few days.
