A new twist has emerged in the harassment case involving a woman trainee IPS officer. The mobile phone of accused trainee IPS officer Uday Krishna Reddy, who is currently lodged in Chanchalguda Jail following his arrest, has not yet been recovered by the police. During searches conducted at his relative’s residence in Moti Nagar, Hyderabad, the phone was not found. Investigators are examining whether the device, which may contain crucial evidence, was deliberately hidden.
In her complaint, the woman trainee IPS officer alleged that videos related to her were stored on the accused’s phone and that objectionable messages were sent to her husband through the same device. The accused had also reportedly mentioned possessing videos in his anticipatory bail petition. Police have sent his laptop to a forensic laboratory and are also investigating allegations that false information about the trainee IPS officer was circulated through WhatsApp groups.
