Minister Reviews Fire Safety Measures at RIMS

Telangana Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha visited RIMS Hospital in Adilabad following the fire that broke out at the Special Neonatal Care Unit (SNCU) on Monday night. The minister inspected the rescue and relief measures taken after the incident and enquired with officials about the safe shifting of infants undergoing treatment in the SNCU to other wards. He also sought details from doctors about the health condition of the infants and children receiving treatment.

Rajanarsimha directed doctors to provide the children with the best possible medical care and continuously monitor their health. He also met the families of the children and assured them of the government’s support. The minister reviewed fire-safety arrangements at the hospital and the emergency response measures taken during the incident. Local MLA Payal Shankar, Health Department Principal Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu, Collector Rajarshi Shah, SP Akhil Mahajan, RIMS Director Jaisingh Rathod and other officials were present.
