Lokesh Lays Foundation Stone for PV Sindhu Academy in Visakhapatnam

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the Centre for Sports Excellence, an academy being established by Indian badminton star PV Sindhu at Thotagaruvu in the Arilova area of Visakhapatnam. Lokesh received a warm welcome from PV Sindhu, her family members, public representatives, party leaders, and local residents upon his arrival at the venue.

Later, Lokesh, along with PV Sindhu and Sports Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, inaugurated the foundation plaque and officially launched the construction works. The minister reviewed the academy's architectural model and enquired about the state-of-the-art training facilities and infrastructure that will be made available to athletes. He also watched an audio-visual presentation showcasing the proposed sports academy.
